Severe intolerance to oilseeds: my son now eats pecans

Video transcript ⇓

My name is Anna. I'm the mum of a one-and-a-half-year-old boy who developed eczema around the age of six months, when he started eating a bit of everything. I started with meat, fish and vegetables and everything went. But I had my doubts about cow's milk protein and eggs. I started doing my own research, initially on the Internet. I consulted an allergist who prescribed a blood test. It turned out to be eggs. So he had an egg intolerance. So the allergist advised me to slowly reintroduce eggs. She prescribed a treatment. But it's true that it bothered me to give him cortisone and Aerius, an antibiotic, at six months. This method bothered me a little.

However, it was very effective. In one year, there were no side effects and the cortisone was a cream to be applied directly in the event of an attack. But we all know the effects of cortisone - it's pretty strong. Personally, I really wanted something that was more natural and that would be effective over the long term. And with the treatment, that wasn't the case. Basically, it's not the solution. Giving her the treatment will ease the crisis. But when the omelette is given again, it will trigger the same crisis all over again. The child won't be cured.

It was my sister who told me about the method. She had already called Olivier for her son. The fact that my sister had already got in touch with him meant that I already had an initial experience and an initial opinion. And it's true that that helped me a lot. I think I was very sceptical at first. I thought: "This is never going to work".

So we decided on a one-month course of treatment. A vial that my son carried. At the end of the treatment, I was able to reintroduce eggs. So, the first time, he had a tiny reaction, but nothing to do with his initial intolerance. We realised that there was still a slight intolerance. So, after the one-month course, we started a second course, again with the same two-week period.

I contacted Olivier again to take stock and see where things stood. After a check-up, he told me it was OK, that he had zero intolerance. And honestly, now I give him everything. What's surprising is that there's really no crisis. Knowing that the vial can be kept for five years, just in case, as he explained to me, even if there's another crisis tomorrow, why not start a course of treatment again?
